A special playing technique of turntablism is called beatcutting or drum scratching. As the name suggests, the individual segments of beats (e.g. kick drum and snare) are arranged up in a new way by the player. This is done by the rhythmical interaction between crossfader and plate so that new drum patterns are created.
The second audio example is similar to the first one in terms of the transcription, but this time by using different sound material.
